Brisbane City Council - Quarry Operator | Bracalba

Bracalba Quarry are looking for someone to join their crew! This role is great for someone who has machine tickets, Mining or Quarry background, willingness to learn and happy to work overtime, then this job could be for you!

You will be working within the Brisbane City Council, Asphalt and Aggregates branch. As part of the team, you will be operating machinery, general labouring and maintenance around the Quarry when needed.

About your new role

Demonstrated ability to operate mobile plant and undertake basic labouring tasks including but not limited to the use of general hand tools and cleaning task e.g.

• Hosing of plant / equipment
• Rock removal from plant / equipment in a safe manner and to deliver quality requirements
• Conduct pre-start checks
• Assist with basic maintenance on plant
• Must have good communication skills
• A strong sense of teamwork a commitment to safety and ensuring all work is conducted according to safety procedures and guidelines.

What you will need to exceed

We are looking for an experienced mobile plant operator who is reliable and enjoys providing high-quality work. Tickets and experience are preferred for the below -

• Mobile crushing and screening
• Front-end loader
• Excavator
• Dozer
• Off-road rigid body haul truck
• Articulated off-road haul truck
• Off-road water truck
• Road Grader
• Would prefer loader experience, preferably sales loader experience
• Knowledge of how a quarry / mine works is an advantage
• Health surveillance report (essential)
